30,179 Chinese students studied at a New Zealand provider in 2014, this was up 12% (3,253) compared to 2013.

All sectors experienced growth, the university sector drove the growth by 15% (1,294) followed by the schools sector up 18% (713).

In 2014, 66% of Chinese students in New Zealand studied in the university or the PTE sector.
