The New Zealand International Education Conference (NZIEC) is where leadership thrives, and where the real opportunities and challenges facing international education are tackled head on.

Established in 1991 and approaching its 30th year, NZIEC has become the place where industry leaders, providers and associated partners meet, connect and unite.

It’s the only time in New Zealand when all parts of the international education industry come together to learn from each other, share their passions and ideas, and help shape the future of the industry.

International education contributes to tourism, regional growth and long-term trade, investment and diplomacy. It enables New Zealanders to live and learn alongside people from other cultures – make new friends, learn other languages and discover new perspectives.

Who are we?

Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao is the host of NZIEC.

As New Zealand’s government agency for building international education, we promote New Zealand as a study destination and support the delivery of education services offshore. We lead the future thinking of New Zealand’s international education industry, and drive forward future activities for growth of the industry.
