Dr Lisa Coleman

Dr Lisa M. Coleman is Senior Vice President for Global Inclusion and Strategic Innovation, and Chief Diversity Officer at New York University. She previously held a similar role at Harvard University.

Dr Coleman works to promote strategic global inclusion and diversity, and her current work focuses on the intersections between innovation and inclusion within and across diverse cultures globally. She advises C-Suite leaders, sits on national and international boards, and is the recipient of numerous awards and honours for excellence in teaching and leadership.

Dr Coleman is known to be a dynamic speaker and we look forward to hearing her challenge our thinking on everything from unconscious bias to the competitive benefits of greater workforce diversity.

Prof Chris Gallavin

Professor Chris Gallavin is Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Massey University. Before joining Massey Chris was the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Canterbury. His areas of academic expertise are criminal law, the law of evidence and the future of tertiary education. He has published extensively in the areas of domestic and international criminal justice and tertiary education. He is a recognised public commentator on criminal justice, social policy and public interest issues. In 2015, he established the New Zealand Public Interest Project with seven colleagues to look into miscarriages of justice. He is an inaugural Trustee of the New Zealand Centre of Global Studies, a multidisciplinary think tank focused on resolving pressing issues of the global commons

Hon Chris Hipkins

Chris Hipkins, Minister of Education will address conference delegates. Minister Hipkins will be outlining his priorities for the international education portfolio. 

ENZ Chief Executive Grant McPherson welcomes the involvement of the Minister in NZIEC. "The involvement of the Minister for international education at NZIEC shows the importance of our annual hui for industry. We are delighted to welcome the Minister to NZIEC 2019”.

Guy Ryan

Guy is an Edmund Hillary Fellow, was awarded Young New Zealander of the Year in 2015, was a finalist for Most Inspiring Person in the NZ Innovator Awards and has served on boards and strategic groups for business and government. Guy has spoken internationally and at home to more than 25,000 people, including TEDx and World Forums.

Through Inspiring Stories, Guy has built an impressive track record of programmes and partnerships, supporting more than 7,000 young New Zealanders to build their entrepreneurship and leadership capability.
