2014 Snapshot - Brazil

2,728 international Brazilian students studied at a New Zealand provider in 2014, this was a 17% (395 students) increase compared to 2013.

The university sector experienced strong growth in 2014, up 232% (139), the ITP sector increased enrolments by 161% (50), and the PTE sector grew by 10% (164).

66% of Brazilian students in New Zealand were enrolled in the PTE sector with 24% at secondary schools in 2014.






2014 Snapshot – Chile

 

856 international Chilean students studied at a New Zealand provider in 2014, this was a 2% (16 students) increase compared to 2013.

The PTE sector grew by 9% (38) in 2014, which offset both the 6% (-18) decline in the secondary school sector and the 25% (-22) decline in the university sector.

55% of Chilean students studied in the PTE sector and 32% in the secondary school sector in 2014.

 


 

2014 Snapshot – Colombia

745 international Colombian students studied at a New Zealand provider in 2014, this was a 63% (289 students) increase compared to 2013.

The PTE sector experienced strong growth in 2014, up 92% (313). The growth in the PTE sector was the main driver of Colombian student growth in 2014.

88% of Colombian students studied in the PTE sector in 2014.
